Author Archives: Nathan Beane

Nathan Beane is The ’Sip’s Outside editor. A native of South Arkansas, Nathan’s love affair with the outdoors came from his grandmother, an avid outdoorswoman. He earned a master’s in forestry and a doctorate in forest resource science from West Virginia University and works as a research forester at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center in Vicksburg. His outdoor hobbies are seemingly endless: beekeeping, fishing, gardening, wood-turning, growing hops, composting, brewing beer and hunting.
