Rory Doyle is a photographer based in Cleveland, Mississippi, in the heart of the Delta. A Maine native who came south for a master's at Delta State University and stayed by choice, he is known for his ongoing "Delta Hill Riders" work on African American cowboys and cowgirls. He won the Smithsonian Photo Contest in 2019 and a James Beard Award in narrative photography in 2025, and he photographed "Unfettered Power: Mississippi Sheriffs" for The New York Times, a project named a 2024 Pulitzer finalist. He is also co-owner of Leña Pizza and Bagels in Cleveland.
